Noah Daniel Gudim

This is what I've been busy with for the last two days.

Esther and Jason had their baby this morning at 4:20 a.m. I made a blog for him so that all of the relatives and friends could get all of the stats:
Noah's Blog

I got to hold him. He's so cute. Hopefully he will get to come home soon.

Day Off

I had the day off today. Got some much-needed stuff done
around the house. It was nice to have a quiet day at home. Jeremy has school tonight, so I REALLY have had the whole day to myself.

The only time I left the house today was when I went to Target for about an hour. I found two sweaters on clearance. (Yes, another cardigan.)

I did get some cards made. I made 4 of each - except the thank yous, I have 12 of those. I don't know if I'm going to try to sell them or use them myself. The other day I was looking for a card and I couldn't find one. I think I might have to keep a couple for myself. I haven't decided if I'm going to put them on ETSY, ebay or just sell them to people I know. Maybe I won't even sell them and I'll just give them out as gifts for birthdays or whatever.
I wish the sequins would have shown up better on this card. It is so much better in person. I might try to photograph it tomorrow.
I also have a felted purse that is almost done. I need to felt it and sew on the handles and it will be done. I have another one in the works.
Dad leaves for Brazil tomorrow. There are around 50 people going on the tour. Now that I think about it, it would have been a lot of fun to go with them. I think if we would have thought about it more, we probably would have gone. I love Brazil.
Back to work tomorrow. I have a lot of projects to get done this week, so hopefully I won't have to stay late this week.

Sweaters

I went to the mall yesterday on my lunch break in search of some after-Christmas clearance deals. I was specifically looking for sweaters. (I have more cardigan sweaters than Mister Rogers, but that is beside the point) I had read on other blog that American Eagle was having some good sales and so I thought I would check it out. Can someone answer this question - what were designers thinking when they decided to make 3/4 sleeves? Ok people, I live in MINNESOTA!! It is cold here every day. If I'm going to be wearing a sweater, I want that sweater to cover my whole arm. I like wearing these type of sweaters in the spring and fall, but not during January.

Another pet peeve I have is the shrug. These are popular items for knitters. I don't know what the appeal is. Maybe its because they use less yarn and take less time, who knows. I don't like them because they don't look good on adults. Skinny teens look good in them, but not me. There were tons of shrugs on clearance at AE, so apparently I'm not the only one who doesn't like the shrug.

I did walk away with a couple of items. This sweater was only $6.95! The jeans were a good deal too.

I am determined not to make this blog about things that I buy. I have read a couple of blogs where all they talk about is material things. I don't want this to be like that. However, I do like to get a good deal and I will share those deals.

Today was a lazy Saturday. I organized my closet and didn't do much else. We went to Chili's tonight for supper. That's about all I did. Boring, but relaxing.

Peace out.

ETA - I came across this cool site. I LOVE these tags. They have some great sayings. They have a store at ETSY and their jewelry is cool too. Great inspiration.

Welcome

Hello friend.

This is the first post of the rest of my life. This blog is going to primarily be posts on recent creations whether they are scrapping, knitting, jewelry...whatever. This is the place to find them!

My goal is to keep this blog updated with the current things I'm doing and maybe add some comentary as well. As most people know I'm a woman of few words, so my posts might be short. I just want to keep my projects organized and maybe this will help me finish some projects that I've started.

I don't know if anyone will be viewing this blog, but in case you are reading this, WELCOME!
