Winter

Winter has finally hit MN! It took us 4x as long to get to work this morning! I have kind of missed the snow. It was really beautiful to see it on the trees. However, I have been yearning for spring and this was quite the surprise! Our garage door even froze shut! Hopefully it will melt soon.

I have been working on the scrapbook of all of the pictures from my Grandma Norgaard. I am having a really hard time with these photos. I don't know if it is because I don't know what to journal or what. None of the photos are especially good and they are all in those 70s and 80s colors where the photos just don't pop. I don't remember anything from these pictures, so it is hard to relate to them. I'll be glad when I'm done.

On another note, Paper Trends contacted me last week and they want a shadow box that I made for the boutique! It was a great surprise because I thought all of the calls had already gone out! I just submitted it on a fluke because it didn't sell at the boutique! I'm so excited, it will be in the June/July issue.

Tonight I'm going to work on my ribby cardi. I have the back and half of one side of the front done. I'll post pictures when I'm further along. This is my first sweater, so I'm hoping I will be able to finish it...especially before summer!

Thanks Kirby

Thanks for being the reason I love the Twins.

Thanks for showing a 13 year old what true sportsmanship is.

Thanks for making every game exciting. Even if the Twins were losing, there was still a chance if Kirby was going to be batting.

Thanks for giving me a number to put on the back of my soccer jersey.

Thanks for the smiles.

Thanks for making that catch.

Thanks for hitting that homerun.

As a grown-up I don't understand the stories I heard about you after the Twins. I don't know if you were unfairly accused, or if you just didn't know how to handle your fame. I choose to remember the good things you did and how you positively influenced my life. As a 13 year old you and the Twins provided one of the most exciting things I could have imagined. You provided hours of positive entertainment.

Thanks for the memories.

Home Sick

I stayed home from work today. Fever and cough came over me last night. No fun. I was supposed to go out to eat with Esther and Andrea today for lunch, but instead they came over and brought lunch to me. I warned them that I was sick and they still brought the babies over. I didn't touch them, so hopefully they won't get sick. Those kids are so funny. They would hear each other crying and then both of them would be crying. We were trying to get pictures of both of them in their hats that I made them and they wouldn't cooperate. We did get a couple of cute shots

I submitted these cards to CARDS Magazine. No luck. They didn't like them. Oh well. I will sell them. I especially like this first one. I made 9 of them, so hopefully other people will like them as well. It was simple and it looks so sparkly!

I think tomorrow I will try to make some more. Hopefully I will be feeling better. Being sick stinks!
