One of the rules for our group is that when we eat out, we have to go to places that aren't chain restaurants. Last Saturday we all met at the Midtown Global Market where we each had our choice of almost any ethnic food we could imagine. Jeremy and I had our friends from St. Louis, Angela and Travis Torblaa, stay with us the night before and we had a HUGE breakfast, so unfortunately we weren't very hungry. This however did not hamper me from eating off everyone else's plates! I had pita bread and hummus, baklava, french fries, and a taste of a tamale! On our way our Jeremy and I got coffee.
These are yummy looking muffins from a pastry shop:
These are heart-shaped pastries that were at the place where we got our coffee. They looked a lot better in the case. Now that I've downloaded the photo I think they kind of look like human organs???
Flowers outside the market.
After eating we headed to the Twins game. It was a bobblehead give away day, but we didn't get there in time to get one, so the girls just sat out on the plaza and did some people watching.
There were a lot of people at the game!
The Twins got behind, but there was a chance to tie it in the 9th. The boys put on their rally caps and the girls put on our "rally sunglasses." (Like this shot of my double chin? Jeremy was about 1.5 feet from my face) Unfortunately The Twins didn't win.
I have a couple more photos from the day that I'll share in my next post. Time has gotten away from me and I need to get ready for church! Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday!
looks like you had a great time! I LOVE it when you blog so much!:-D
