New Bag!!

I know I said I wasn't going to post again until I get home, but I just wanted to share about this really fun bag that I got from Lisa at Pink Lemonade Boutique. Check out her shop! She has tons of really cute stuff. She did mine as a custom order, so if you see anything in her sold items that you like, contact her and she will probably be able to work with you. She barely had enough of the black/yellow fabric for my bag, so she substituted the black handles. (which will be great in my case because my handles always seem to get dirty...does that mean I have really dirty hands...gross)

I know the photo is terrible. I took it from my phone and it was almost dark, but I wanted to share a picture. I haven't told her that I am going to be blogging about her and I don't have permission to use any of her photos yet, so I thought I'd take a quick shot of my bag and upload it fast. My photo really doesn't do the bag justice.

Lisa also has a blog and a flickr account. I actually found her through flickr! She has some photos of purses that she has made out of her husband's old suits! Super cool.

Lots of New Stuff

This Sunday I finally got around to taking pictures of most of the things that I have been making lately. I find it really difficult to find enough daylight hours to take pictures because by the time I get home from work the sun has already started to go down. I got a little bit of time on Sunday afternoon and I got in a lot of shots. I have been having fun posting lots on Etsy!

Jeremy and I are taking off to go to Bellingham, Washington until Sunday. My Grandparents live there and we get to have a quick visit with them. I hope everyone has a great rest of the week!

Amanda was kind enough to feature my card on her blog! She has a beautiful Etsy store, Bijou Girl Designs. I especially like these earrings and this necklace. I love how she uses all kinds of natural elements for backdrops - that tomato is brilliant! Thanks Amanda!

Fall Pictures

I drive by Busch Lake every day on my way to work. On Thursday it was really cold and the steam was rising off the lake. These are just a couple of pictures that I got when I quickly stopped before work. Yes, I was a little bit late. :)

Last of the NYC Photos!

It is past my bedtime right now, so I'm just going to post some of the rest photos from NYC and if you want, you can take a look at the rest over on my Flickr site.

We walked through China Town and hit Little Italy and there was this crazy, crazy street fair going on called The Feast of San Genarro. There were HUNDREDS of food vendors and games. Every stereotype of Italian people was magnified at this festival. For example, at the end of the street there was a group of musicians that started playing the theme from the Godfather and a woman yelled out, "This is why I come home!!" It was really over the top. Loved it! We walked through two times and both times we were really full so we didn't get any food, but after looking through these photos again I really wish we would have gotten a little bit of something!

I think my most favorite part about the whole trip was Central Park. We were just there for a little while right before we had to get on our plane, but it was great to be able to see green after being on the streets the whole weekend. It is so beautiful!

We hit Times Square when it was dark. It was a Friday night and there were people everywhere! It was really fun to see all of the lights and be with all of the people. It was hard to get pictures of the two of us together. This one is really stupid, but there were so many people that it was impossible to stop someone to take our picture.

Right before we left we ran into another fun street fair. There were lots of people selling the typical NCY goods: pashminas, t-shirts and of course bags. The photo below was a refreshing booth where they were selling spices. It was nice to see that it was really busy! There was one woman who was selling her own hand screen printed clothing which was really cool, but it was a little bit too expensive for me. I wished that there were more booths with handmade items.

More New York Photos

Wow, it has been almost a week since I have posted. I don't really have much to say tonight, but I thought I'd post more New York pictures.

I have been busy making stuff and I'm almost ready to take the photos. The days are getting shorter and I'm having a hard time coming up with enough natural light to take photographs. Hopefully I'll be able to post some fun photos of cards soon.

This is Rockefeller Center. Last week I posted photos from the top, this is from the bottom.

Grand Central Station was pretty neat. It was so huge! The detail in the architecture was amazing!
I thought this guy was funny sitting on the steps right in front of the "Sitting on the stairway is strictly prohibited" sign posted by the police.

New York Photos, Part 3

Wow, I have a lot of pictures from our 4 day trip! I think I have enough photos for a couple more posts.

After we arrived in Brooklyn we left our bags at the hotel because it was too early to check in and we walked around town. We intended to only grab something to eat and then go back to the hotel to take a little break, but we ended up walking all over and we didn't actually get back to the hotel until about 9:00p.m.

This first photo is from the promenade looking to Manhattan. We walked all along there and to and over the Brooklyn Bridge. (I already posted all of those photos)



This was a wreath placed in remembrance to the terrorist attacks. It says, "September 11, Broken Sky"

We walked over the bridge and to Ground Zero. We saw the site and we also walked through St. Paul's Chapel which was really touching.


We headed to Wall Street. It was Friday after 5:00 and things were pretty dead. I took a couple of pictures, but they were kind of boring so I'm not posting them.

These are some crazy spikes on a fence near a church.

We took the free Staten Island Ferry and I got these pictures of Manhattan from the water. The sun was setting and it was really beautiful.

The next morning after having our lattes and french pastries we took the subway to Rockefeller Center. I had read on many different websites that instead of going up to the top of the Empire State Building the "Top of the Rock" offers a much better view and there aren't as many lines. I would have to agree that the view is BEAUTIFUL! There is glass all the way around the observation deck and there are no obstructions.
