New York Photos, Part 2

As I said earlier I'm going to adding some of the photos from our trip to New York two weeks ago. These first few photos are just going to be from our hotel.

We stayed at a place called Nu Hotel. It was most definitely new! It had just opened up in July and everything was sparkling new and very white. We found a great promotional deal on Travel Zoo for only $169/night which I guess is unheard of for the city. It turned out that we were the worst guests in the world. It really seemed like we were calling the desk almost every 20 minutes for something whether it was because our tv didn't work (not our fault) or because we wanted some good pizza delivery tips. They had awesome French pastries for breakfast and Jeremy would walk down every day and have them make me a latte (Starbucks coffee) and then carry up a heaping plate of pastries up for the both of us to nibble on. The service was great and the place was very modern and clean. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

I think the best part about the Nu Hotel is that they are in Brooklyn. We probably wouldn't have even gone to Brooklyn if we wouldn't have been staying there. It made us investigate a whole different part of the city!

These two photos are from the lobby. I guess all of the decor is vintage stuff that they found around Brooklyn.

I don't know if you can see it or not, but the floors are cork. There was no carpet except for the very, very. fluffy, hairy rug right in front of the bed. I wonder how long it will stay white and clean...

This was our wonderful flat screen tv that didn't really work. The cable box was in the drawer under the tv and it kept on over heating and we would have to turn it off and let it cool down. What a pain! The only art in the room was this huge black and white photo stretched on canvas.

I think my most favorite part about our room was the chalkboard. It was fun to write down the list of things we wanted to do and check them off. I don't think I've ever taken a picture of a toilet before!
